The Golden Section: Nature’s Greatest Secret

Years ago when I homeschooled by children, I used to help teach sacred geometry classes to our local homeschooling co-op. I have a particular passion for the subject and feel it is a (very tiny) window into the Divine Creator’s artistic mind. Having read many books on sacred geometry over the years, I chose Scott Olsen’s book for its beautiful organization and depth of content. It may be small, but it’s mighty!

Key Takeaways:

  • The “Golden Ratio,” or Phi (1.61803) is an essential and ever-present “code” responsible for creating both efficiency and beauty in the natural world.
  • Phi acts as the bridge between the potential and the manifest, the Creator and the created, being and becoming.
  • The secret of the Golden Ratio was known by some of the greatest minds of the arts and sciences, including Euclid, Plato, Leonardo Da Vinci, and Pythagoras.

“Many of us tend to walk through life half asleep, at times numbed, if not actually deadened to the exquisite order that surrounds us. But a trail of clues has been preserved.”
